JOIN US FOR OUR NEXT IN-PERSON WORKSHOP WITH MARTHA McGAUGHEY!

Martha McGaughey will present The Joy of Jenkins

Saturday May 14, 2022, 10 AM – 4:00 PM

St. Michael & All Angels Episcopal Church
1704 NE 43rd Ave, Portland

There is a reason that, for so many of us, Jenkins is the favorite consort composer. His music is beautiful, of course, but it is also harmonically adept, inventive, and wonderfully varied. In this workshop we'll play four-, five-, and six-part fantasias and pavans, and also look at some of the the more "commercial" dance pieces that Jenkins wrote. All of his music is a great starting point for discussion of technique and sound.

We will be taking all appropriate safety precautions. Proof of vaccinations will be required, and we will require masks and will set up to distance as much as possible.

Registration will be $50 for members of Cascadia Viols and $65 for nonmembers.

Registration is now closed

Please note that you must register by May 7.
